seriously though tunnels why

one of the worst things i can imagine is being trapped in a vertical tube/tunnel, and you would be falling except it’s too narrow, so it’s supporting you and kind of squeezing you at the same time, and you can’t climb up or fall down you’re just trapped there scrabbling in the dark
